Volunteer

Whether you volunteer with tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or administrative tasks, you’ll have the opportunity to build healthy relationships with young people eager for adult guidance, and have a positive impact on their lives. In turn, you will find that spending time with these young people has a positive impact on you as well.

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the Volunteer Application. Contact Alexia Thurber at athurber@bgcfw.org or (260) 744-0998 ext. 127 about your particular interest or area of expertise!

Here’s how you can help:

  • Volunteer with activities, mentor students, and help create a positive learning environment. Whether it’s weekly or just once in a while, your time is invaluable.

  • Support staff with special events by setting up, running activities, or assisting with logistics to ensure a fun and successful experience.

  • Help students build confidence in reading and academics by offering one-on-one or small group support.

  • New or gently used items like school supplies, sports equipment, art materials, and hygiene products go a long way in supporting our programs and activities.

  • Whether you’re an artist, musician, athlete, or professional, share your expertise to inspire and educate the next generation.

  • Gather your team to complete service projects that enhance our facilities and support our youth. From organizing spaces to assembling equipment, your efforts make a lasting impact!
